Once on This Island Info

Our spring musical is 'Once on This Island'. This highly original and theatrical Caribbean adaptation of the popular fairy tale “The Little Mermaid” sings and dances the story of Ti Moune, the peasant girl who rescues, nurses and falls in love with Daniel, a young man from a wealthy family. When Daniel is returned to his people, the gods who rule the island guide Ti Moune on a quest to test the strength of her love against the powerful forces of prejudice, hatred and death.

12/5 - Informational Meeting for our Spring musical, 'Once on This Island'. At this meeting we will provide the audition sides, the rules and the rehearsal schedule.
12/7 - Learn the audition dance during all lunches at PHS in the black box. You will only need to attend the dance audition if you are interested in the role of Ti Moune or being part of the peasant dance troupe.
12/10 - Learn the audition songs & DANCE auditions for the role of Ti Moune and the dance troupe
12/11 - Auditions
12/13 - Callbacks
12/14 - Post cast list
12/17 - MANDATORY FIRST CAST MEETING. Not there, not in show.

Are there any parts in the play that do not involve dancing so that there could still be a chance of me being able to do the play even with just getting surgery on my knee?

Malo,
I want to be in the musical this year.
But I've never been in a play before.
And im kinda nervous with the auditioning and if i even get into it.
do you tink being in a musical would be good for a first time thing or should i just wait?
